As far as I know, this is the only time Skyhawks ever operated from this particular airfield... anyone prepared to hazard a guess as to where these two Skyhawks were operating from on March 2nd 1985?
It was during the transition from the SEA scheme to the Lizard scheme. In fact I'm pretty sure this was the first time that the Lizard had been seen in public. '6201 was still wearing the old scheme as it performed its display - including this touch 'n go.
'6202 was parked as static, resplendent in the new scheme. It's seen here as it departs at the end of the day. Note the small boy in the foreground, seemingly unfazed by the very noisy aircraft in such close proximity. No crowd fences in those days. Everybody could be trusted to behave themselves back then
I remember the day well - it was a great little airshow.
