I'm going to try and come up that weekend to see that, and then the pilot expo on the Sunday, cross your fingers for me - I need to swap out of a couple of work shifts. :P

Nah, I don't have a video camera, I will be taking my Canon Eos though, if I can get out of that shift. ;) I'm planning to post the pics here, not the same as a movie though, is it...

No worries Hamish, you might be able to find someone else, as a fair amount of our members live in/around Auckland. :)

Good luck,

Well at least the F111s are coming (I love F111s)
the last open day at Whenuapai I went too, the F111s just lay on the tarmac then took off, Warbirds Over Wanaka was way better >ozflag< >nzflag<

i might film it, but i prefer to watch it for real, rather through the lens of a camera. it's never as impressive.

oh ok my birthday is on mrach 3rd and i was disapointed with wanaka last year cause there was ment to be 2 f111's display there but one had hydraulics problem and made emergency landing at christchurch so that is why there was only 1 there
how ever for the next warbirds over wanaka show i am suspecting the aussies will send something impressive over like the c17 but if you are going to film it could you please let me know

thanks

Anyone heading that way on Saturday, PM me a mobile number and we could meet up.
I'd suggest 12:30 at the Control Tower, gives an hour before the military display which is why I'm going.
