Marty stopped in this morning .. tomatoes and all Thanks Matey , I thought be ideal for some of you here
to see a Lincoln CG ,I be twiddling with it all morning .. not a Rubics cube but to give a good idea for what was
used on weapon stations and nav tables preflight correcting load helping pilots out , Marty mentioned no
instructions but they are ... well and photoed on the back there they were , great for a little twiddle and
understand the work they did , very intriguing ... simply something I really wanted to have a look at.

Well done .... if its of no use to you , pass it onto the museum , but i do recall seeing (and counting) heaps of them out there.
I have to go out there soon and sign some things .... so I'll ask if you want .... otherwise , consider it a gift from the old man.

Actually I'd would like to keep my hands on to it for the time begin , .. I posted this at SOH , I think they were very pleased you gave me the opportunity to photo the CG rule for all to see, Just so chuffed I saw the potential in giving a little actual history in photo form, many appreciated you giving me a look , least you no its safe here.

Think it was Great Marty past it on to me to have a look at, I was good with slide rules forty years back, there is further detail information once slid across , you want to take specific numbers (pretend) then adjust to suit the datum , finding first I need to get weights off specifics , a weight off a 20mm shell or get to learn how they took that on as an average , also gos with the loaded ordnance , so then you want to find out the specifics on those , for example a standard RAF WWII 500LB bomb only weighted the explosive, not the casing , and then depends if it is a GP/AP or another variant , ... the fuel is easy .. that won't change until it gets used ... quite an interesting toy.

Guess it would be very hard to apply it to Flight Simulation .. be great to get some off the equipment from a Stratocruiser , then see how it or if it can work .. be interesting to get a B-377 CG rule and use it to the A2A model .

It is , but used in conjunction with your hand held navigation and compass , very handy and still used today for basic flight training I believe .. or I would hope so .
