Back in the air...

A place for 'real world' pilots and aviation enthusiasts to discuss their hobby

Woohoo... finally made it back behind the controls after a 3 1/2 year layoff... and with near perfect weather at ardmore this morning...

1.0 hours of tooling about in a C-152 in the training area trying to get "The Feel"™ back.

Medium Turns, Steep Turns, Area Famil and then a (rather messy) landing... still, as least my $16 of landing charges is going to go to something useful (like fixing the big ding i must have left in the runway <_< )

If you're interested, the details are here as I've decided to keep a bit of a record...

Can't wait for next weekend, Stalls... and some circuit practice ;)

now why didnt I think of that? <_<

but it wasnt a bad landing really... i was just early on the flare... not used to the C-152 and pulled back a little too hard...

Very cool HCP, who be your instructor??

I did 10 hours at AFC before coming over to Massey. And JBL is my beauty! I have some neat photos if you want em :)

As KAG mentioned, I was in JBL... I think I may need to switch up to the 172 tho... I am 6'3" and have a frame not too dissimilar to Jonah Lomu (but with less muscle ;) ). I was having some problems with the 'Full, Free and Correct' part of the checks, coz my knees were in the way <_<

I was originally going for a blat in Jiffy (JFY), but another student has his checkride next week in JFY, so we kindly swapped.

I am flying with Trevor McIntosh. And would love to have a look at some of the pics.

Yes, the 152 is not the most height friendly aircraft...
