Just rang the company im doing my flight traning through to check if the plane (ZK-EJY) was there so I could take some photos of it for a repaint and scored a free flight to Rotorua and back (can log it too)
The instructor has to head over there for a scenic flight and then head back here (Whakatane) afterwards....a quick word to my boss to get a couple of hours off and im away

Free stuff is nice :)

up up and awwwwwwwwaaaaaaaaayyy

Well im back....0.4 on the way there and 0.5 on the way back- good to have exposure to operations in controlled airspace since Whakatane (where I do most of my flying) isnt controlled.....

Weather was a bit nasty and had to dive through cloud for a low level join onto base for Whakatane on the way back but it was all good :)

I got some nice photos of a EC-135 (the chopper not the tanker) at NZRO too...

I didnt really take any flying pics as i was flying :)

JonARNZ- expect some pics of EJY for the repaint soon

Ahh EJY, thought that rang a bell, took a photo of it a few weeks back (http://z11.invisionfree.com/nzff/index. ... topic=1806). Pretty cool to see the EC-135 as well. :D

Wow, lucky guy. The guys at FlEx make it really easy, although yes, it does help to have a bit of experience in the NG. :)
