Recently I discovered a new location at my local airport, Auckland International, to take photos of the taxing, landing and taking off aircraft.

Today I revisited that site, got some new snaps, and also found another "open gate" to the domestic terminal apron and I managed to get quite a few shots of the Air New Zealand props reflecting on the wet tarmac, on this typical June winter morning.

Check out the next 13 photos (1890kb):

That's the lot for now, not as good as my last effort thanks to the weather, but if you have any comments, you can still post them below.

Excellent pics!

Of course, here in the US doing this could get you arrested.  Looking forward to August when my friend and I will be there, sitting at the end of the Rwys 23, listening to the scanner, and taking snaps. And I guess I might just look for those open gates. Hopefully they don't mistake me for a terrorist... <_<

Thank you for the kind comments guys!

To answer your question kismet, Airliners.net is too much of a hassle. I tried it once before. I'll let the forum members here have the privelage of seeing my photos and nobody else ;)

It'll be nice to see you over here bigdog- we might even bumb into each other. The "open" gates I mentioned, where only into carparks that where 100% legal. The security guards didn't mind at all. :D

Love the S340 shots and the Atlas Air 74, saw one of them at CHC a couple of months back - dropping off props for a movie apparently :)
