Hey all. Thought some of you might be interested in this. A few weeks back now I got to go on a jump-seat ride in an Air New Zealand 737 from Auckland to Queenstown and back. Was a fantastic experience and feel very privileged to get to do it these days what with the hightened security and commercial and safety sensitivity and what not. Anyway, rather than re-post here in the forum please go take a read of the writeup I've posted to my blog today, and fire any feedback here if you feel so inclined winkyy.gif

post here..

here's a couple of pics I took on the day...

Wow, some people have all the luck!!! One envious reader here.

Good write up on your website, it captures the flavour and gives a good description of the flights. Did you take any video as well? It would be great to see this.

You were SO lucky to fly into ZQN, and down the Kewarau gorge as well. I guess that you will be buying the PMDG 737 as soon as it is released.

Green with envy!!

smooth landings.

Real interesting report + photos Deeknow, thanks for posting! Flying into ZQN is always awesome, I've done both the Cadrona saddle and Cromwell arrivals- spectacular terrain and scenery all around.

My ole man also jumpseated down there in the 73 recently, theres a landing video on facebook here if anyone's interested.

Awesome, I try to get jumpseat whenever I can. Most beneficial to see the position where I want to be in 4 years time. You can learn heaps off those who are experienced. You are very lucky to get jumpseat into queenstown, I fly into there occasionally but only VFR. It is an amazing location and I wish there was more time to take photos.
