Was talking to the Chief of AF a week back, and I tried hinting about the A400, but he just winked at me. I don't know whether to be creeped out, take the hint, or both..
A wink is as good as a nudge .... say no more , say no more ....

Ian , the "standard media" are too tied up with the grammys , and whatever other triver will get them ratings .... sheeple

No the USAF train their pilots in them and then from there the fast jet guys fly T38s while the heavys fly another trainer.

We will wait till we get our eleven Texan's in the door then maybe a nudge nudge for the upper end product and strangely i mentioned we should have gone to Australia with a deal to increase the order with the OZ Hawk years ago , practical - keep both country's inline , training and keeping the fast jet and economical ...
Ian Warren wrote:QUOTE (Ian Warren @ Jan 31 2014,4:29 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>Very surprised we did not link up with Australia with a purchase of these or even a lease or sub lease keeping or that would have kept the talent here in NZ .. typical the short sight of a dicky licking government who bend over where to shovel the pooh to the next ! - They are are a very capable aircraft that could have fitted the gap - Australian made .. NZ , get with the program -- but nah loose all the skill oversea,s due to white paper dorks !
Those are what you use if you are training fast jet pilots, no point here since NZ does not have a fast jet. BTW the aussies have an equivalent trainer to the T6 which is also a prop the Pc9.

Yeah i was in Oz when they - the PC9 were introduced well before the US market looked and found the replacement .

I think it would be done as a promotion flight as well.

I think this is were I thought a 3 ship fly across the world would have been a better run ... little show and tell at the Beechcraft company expense.
