Way too hot to be outside on my day off, so I've been sitting in the relative coolness with a cold Kingfisher watching the junior Herc in the fleet do ....this.... :ph43r:

She did a touch-and-go at NZCH and headed back north.

Apparent temp here at 1201 was 39C . Fortunately the playroom has a/con and there is plenty of coolant in the fridge - with an eye to the forecast I stocked up on vital fluids yesty :D

And 3 o'clock is opening time, so I just opened a can of Asahi. The apparent temp now matches the actual temp at 36.5C, because the humidity has dropped below 40% after a wind change. Hope it stays that way.

Just come out of heavy maintenance, probably the last time before retiring.

Was just watching the girls at Hagley Oval yesty while we did the quality checks on the homebrew. No wonder Marty stayed in.
I don't mind the heat, but the humidity is a killer, specially here, 90km inland, where we don't usually get it.
