Another " its over "

I just found out yesterday ( always a bit behind ) ... that , the last of the freight F-27's has retied .
Upside is we get a resident 737 based down here ZK-PAK i think.

Strange to think those Fokkers have been operating here in various forms for all but 3 years of my life ...

Speaking to one who works on 748's in Canada, they are running out of Dart engines over there, where they get fixed .. they send them to Christchurch , wonder who is going to score this aircraft for a museum ?

Yep that is the end apparently.
Been a while since I flew the fokker but my last night was ZKNAO BHE-WLG-AKL and ZKPAX AKL-PMR-BHE.

Fond memories of learning to milk the HP cock starting the RR Dart in a tailwind and taxying out without being allowed to use the brakes so the pneumatics had time to pump up a bit. Good times.

Andrew ? museum or is it going to be parts ? ... guess any place that would take it would be MOTAT .. be better to stick it inside somewhere, Ashburton would be ideal swap and bring old BXE back to Wigram, get work done on that and bring it back up to RNZAF standard , thus saving both .... BUT I'm certain it will head offshore.
