Hi all on Tuesday went for a days spotting at Auckland what a day rain and sun.... but still a lot to see...

Amazing angles make some brilliant photos there Bluebird, how did you manage to get access to all those areas?


Particually this one, never seen any shots from this side of the runway! Where were you situated?

I will be at NZAA Intl on Sunday Friends are moving to AUS so me and a few mates are going up to farewell them will try get some pics ick of some heavies ick.

Yes you certainly got around that apron, great series of shots.
Reminds me of evii's exhaust heat haze shot, too.
I was watching Casino Royale again the other night, and this also reminds me of the sequence where the 747 has to go missed to avoid the car chase - and blows the cop car taillight over radiator...

Hi all

yea the trip was great didn't know u could get around to that side of the runway.... I got the trip with a friend who knows some people up there... wouldn't tell me who since i wouldn't mind doing that again.... but was asked if i would like to come with him and with a outing like that who would say no... rolleyes.gif.... Now to try and see if i can get a flight in a flight deck yea like that will happen.... sad.gif any way ty for the feedback......

Were you one of the guys up on the Tower balconey taking photos Tuesday afternoon? One of them had a bushy white beard?
If so I wish I had known. I came on duty just before they left and was inside the Tower cab at the time, I would have come out and said Hi.

no I think you guys were already out on the deck when i got there, and then you all seemed to disappear downstairs as I signed on.

Saw 2 of them while I was at NZAA yesterday they look strange but alright lol plenty of B1900's coming and going though.
