Guess who in the Captains seat, approaching Hooker Glacier with Lake Pukaki in background?

Thank goodness, all crew and passengers landed safely at Queesntown.

That wouldn't be the flight experience simulator would it?

I got to sit in the Captain's seat of one of those, make a T&G at Whenuapai and land it at AKL last November :P

Looks great mathew, I can't help but notice you have the throtle almost maxed yet gear is down, looks like I can see red on that speed tape too, going a little fast ae :P hehe

Im suprised the graphics don't look better thow, that lake in the distance looks all bulured. The sim itself looks awsome.

Thanks for sharing!

Good spotting Andrew :P

John's a good friend of mine from VATSIM, has been an ATC Controller in Real Life, and is now a Flight Experience Instructor.

Our route: CH - HK - 215 degree radial HK to 45DME - DCT to Mount Cook, down the glacier - T&G at NZMC - RY - SH - Straight-in RWY 23 NZQN

I really enjoyed it and I encourage other's to give it a go :D

James, we had a 7500ft/min descent rate then, and we were in the green - just :P

The scenery is FS2004 with few addons, actually when you're in the seat it all seems so real, lots to do and to think about, really shows how good each pilot is at multi tasking :D

Glad to hear you enjoyed it Matt! I'm going to take James up in the sim sometime, so we'll just see how well he does ;)

I ended up going with my mate from work whos father came along. He is an ex 737 captain, now on 767s. It helps to have an experienced pilot there because some of the instructors dont even know the quirks of the FMS or the Autopilot.

Cool Matt :D

Just wondering, does it have a functioning FMS?

Hey Matthew, just wondering if these are any different to the Pac-sim ones that we see on VATSIM? And would there be any chance that if I payed to go in one, if I could do it on VATSIM?
