Any ideas as to what enhancements DX10 offers on this (or other) aircraft? Most times I enable it, it crashes FSX - and you don't seem to be able to enable it on a per-aircraft basis <??>.

What graphics card do you have? it could be that it doesn't support DX10. Check out http://www.fsplanet.com/fsplanet_com_fsx.htm for some comparative screenshots of FS running DX10 and DX9. Basically, DX10 looks real pretty but at a (sometimes) significant performance cost. Unless your machine is fairly high-end, it's probably not worth it.
