It's good to see all that great work rewarded, especially at that level, an important acknowledgement.

Hope it enough to encourage a few more years ... ?

Well, i was planning stopping scenery building at the end of this year, and getting back to enjoying what the sim is really for........ FLYING !!
By the number of e-mails i get with requests for sceneries here , there, and everywhere for FS9,............. i dunno if thats going to be possible.

I may have to think about purchasing FSX again ( sold my last one), and getting all the appropriate scenery tools, and re-doing my NZ stuff to suit FSX.........
Aye aye aye,.................... A daunting prospect.............

Good to see a New Zealander in that magazine!

On the topic of requests, you wouldn't ever think of redoing Whangarei in photorealistic form (maybe try and ask David Quirey again) or a Nelson Airport would you?

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

I was a little embarrassed at first, when a certain blabbermouth (who shall remain nameless,........ yes, you know who you are Mr. "Aw Shucks" laugh.gif ), announced it here for all the world to see..............
But,......... really,.... im quite stoked actually ( and surprised).
Thanks Mike.........

I would be happy to do modeling, if you can supply me with the images.

I have tried David Quirey many times, before, and since i built my Whangarei scenery, but have never had any replies from him.
If i can get some decent pics of the terminal and other buildings, i may be able to convince someone to do some custom buildings for it.............

Nelson Airport i am unsure if i want to do it. I have had a number of requests for it, but im still quite happy with Ian Warrens old one.
Works fine in my sim, with no problems. Its on my "Possible" to-do list, along with Dunedin. Of the 2, Dunedin would be the more likely one for me to do.

I will see if I can get pictures maybe (though it is unlikely I'd ever fly up there in the future...)

Ian's One is good but an updated one that is easier on the frames would be good. (SO would a Dunedin Airport - with the new terminal. If you want images I can supply...)

One thing, these aren't picture but more drawings. Drawings of the more sophisticated type... so I'm not entirely sure of those but there's a high chance of photos as well (I will have to do some asking etc.) so I can't promise but I'll try.

I will have another look at them
They are plans of the airport (north south east west etc.) so not entirely sure if copying them is in breach of confidentiality of some kind...

On that note I wonder where the NZWN plans are... I remember playing with them when I was younger (the floor plans had the airbridges drawn as well so I used to play with my diecast airplanes laugh.gif
