Just thought i'd mention this to those who might be interested.
This DVD has been in production for some time now, they had some hicks up along the way but its now finally released.
For those who arn't familar with AoA productions, in the past they took the Level-D 767 and broke it down into a great learning dvd on how to fly the A/C just like a real pilot would, from FMC funtions. VOR APP, ILS APP etc...and now the PMDG 747, take a look at there website here. i know i for one will be investing in this great learning product! thumbup1.gif

Me three, got my 767 one and it rocks, glad to see though that they've killed that godawfulcrappy background music !

One thing to be aware of is if you get it from AoA it's US$45 plus $5 shipping, if you get it from PMDG it's €34 including shipping. At the moment they are both working out to about NZD~70 so no worthwhile exchange rate advantage either way.

I assume that means you think it's worth it?
I like the idea, but I'm not sure i could afford to get both the addon and an instruction DVD laugh.gif

I thought the reason the DVD took so long was to allow us to recover from the pain of buying the plane smile.gif

Can't comment on whether the 747 one will be worth it, but the 767 one definitely was. Although sitting down and watching it is a bit like sitting down and reading a dictionary. Much better to have it playing beside your computer so you can follow along and try stuff out as it gets shown. You learn more that way too.

If you want something to sit down and perv at on tv on a rainy afternoon you can't go past the ITTV cockpit dvd's - just wish they did a 727 one.

Cheers

plane.gif This is an awesome DVD and a great learning tool for the PMDG 744. It comes in three DVDs. One covering all of the systems of the 747, one covering both normal and abnormal proceedures and another covering a complete flight from "Cold and Dark" to shutdown. Also many files are included so you can follow along in the flight sim and the livery that he used to make it.
PMDG744 Angle of Attack

This is six hours of very well put together instruction that would cost over $300 if it were for real world pilots yet it is the quality that could be used for real world pilots.

I am really enjoying and learning a lot with it. It's really brain saturation thumbup1.gif with the amount of information.
