2024 Navigraph Survey Results: What's Your Sim

MSFS20 is still dominant - no surprise.

But '24 is showing (deservedly) slow adoption.
Hard to imagine what they were thinking, to stream everything.
What I want is something on my desktop, and no Mandatory Updates.
They can charge me if it come to that, but my choice.
Rant over.

Deja Vu.
I imagine when '20 drifts into Maintenance Mode, so will I

Yeah the full on streaming of 2024 does put me off that’s for sure. Especially with limited bandwidth. I’m reasonably happy with 2020 and will probably finally commit to it and remove all my P3D stuff. That platform seems to have well and truly hit a wall. Once 2024 has ironed out its many issues I may give it a try.

I'm happy with 2024, but I am running it on a very high end system, basically purpose built for FS2024, and a strong internet connection. The only flying I do is GA and occasional warbird stuff in free flight, I haven't touched the career mode which I think is where a lot of the worst complaints are. There's still definitely work to be done to fix some annoyances (the AI air traffic in particular is still absolutely horrendous) but I have enjoyed the experience overall so far.

I'm in the 2-percenters group  .. P3D mostly with an occasional dabble in MS2020 for VFR stuff. My P3D rig running well and happy w LOD and aircraft/scenery config for now.

Have picked up a couple of 2020/2024 scenery items tho since I ran that NZFF poll a few weeks back (EBLG/Liege, EGNX/East Midlands, RJAA/Narita) and already had KONT, PANC and YSSY. My transition to MSFS Cargo ops has begun, altho somewhat slowly

FS2020 for me at the moment!
I have a dabble with my original FS'98, 2000, 2004 and 2006 FSX now and again, with fond memories of all the enthusiastic Flight Sim Designers who provided us all with fantastic FREEWARE aircraft, scenery, effects, etc.... :groupwave: ...!
A wealth of enthusiasm in the old Microsoft Flight Simulators!
We have to pay megabucks now, via "Sim Market" for the few bits and bobs available, and wait forever for it to install/load/update in FS2020 and FS2024... ....!
The glory days of (Simviation) FREEWARE.... ...!
Laughs, jokes, and companionship.... ...!
Where have all our "Fun Crowd" gone, from times long ago?.... ...!
It's a lonely old world in FS2020... :( ...!

Paul... :UK: ...England... ...!

2024 - early adapter and its slowly getting there, although it has been a frustrating ride. I'm getting slightly FPS than 2020 which I still have installed but may have to go soon, so it can make room for an expanded 2024.
