AFS4 new beta

Postby emfrat » Thu Apr 10, 2025 7:47 am

In from IPACS this morning:
"We've just released a new beta version for Aerofly FS 4 on Steam which adds a lot of new features and functionality to the A380 in preparation for the upcoming Airbus A350 as well as some improvements to the A320 family, a new startup sound on the 737 MAX and other minor bug fixes."
Full details in the blog :D

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Reading that blog you can't help think that for the guys at IPACS, AFS4 is actually their hobby!
Think of the hours that go into creating an A380

Not to mention the time spent responding politely to all the grizzling and whingeing posts from the professional complainers in the forum

I'm curious Mike, what do people complain about mostly?

Hello Nick - most of it comes from the Mobile section. Their questions make it clear that they have little understanding of why aircraft fly and how they should be flown, and even less about what is involved in creating/developing a flight simulator. Lots of 'I want, I want' and 'Are we there yet?' purely nuisance posts on subjects which have been asked and answered many times. One last year, where one of the devs had mentioned in passing that the IPACS team had thought about doing something on certain lines, resulted in some detailed destructive criticism from one of the regulars saying why the team were getting it wrong, even though they hadn't started on it yet....I could go on and on about them, but that would make me a 'professional complainer' too.
