Well birthday's are about presents, so it wouldn't be a birthday without giving NZFF a pressie now would it. For all you FS2004 DC3 fans, Heres something just for you.

You can download this file HERE But be quick, this is a very limited release purely for NZFF members, and will be removed at the end of April.

Some beauty shots, all in FS9 showing the 32bit textures. I shall ignore the textures that are backwards! I hope all the kiwis are looking the right way ;)

The file contains 32bit and DXT with mip versions of the textures, and config file info you will need. I'm assuming you all know what to do with them?

Wow - thanks Jon - I am a die hard FS 2004 user. Will add the DC-3 to the list of something I am planning - but very small compared to what you have done with repaints, Airshows etc etc (the list goes on)

Cheers

It will work in FSX, so feel free. The new DC-3 model comes with this livery as part of the base pack, and doesnt suffer the flipped textures, so FSX users havnt been forgotten, if anything it was the FS9 guys missing out.

So are you going to fix the flipped texture problem for FS9?

Think Jon has already answered the question:

The Dak Dudes are spending their energies retexturing the FSX stock model, we just got lucky to have an FS9 spinoff.

Good question, however welcome to the reality of the FS9 (and FSX) default models. The way MS have done them means they use the same texture on both sides, hense why its back to front on the other side.

If you check out the Awesome 4 Some thread you will see what James Eden and myself are doing about that problem for FSX.

The Dak Dudes are spending their energies

My apologies I meant the Awesome 4Some.
Whatever, if you can't live with the dyslexic tail, it takes but the most basic of paint editing skills to make the problem go away...

I had a look at the paintkit  and Jon has done a really competent job.
Many thanks for the birthday treat, Jon!
