Hall effect sensor kits for Saitek and CH product's yokes

Postby cowpatz » Sat Jun 08, 2019 1:34 pm

I was just tooling around on you tube the other day and came across this.
Norman Yeung has come up with a very nice upgrade for the Saitek and CH product's yokes.
If you are tired of dealing with scratchy potentiometers then this is the way to go.
The parts look very nicely made and anybody would be capable of doing this easy mod.
I was hooked and contacted Norman. He sells the kits for US$14 plus postage (which is very cheap for the quality of the items). I'm not sure where in the world he is but I am having the kit shipped to my mailbox in LA which I will clear on the way back from my London trip next week.

He can be contacted at:
ntydkhe@yahoo.com

The videos of the mod are here. Don't be put off thinking that the number of videos mean this is complex...it's not. It is just the videos are very slow and deliberate.
Here they are:

Saitek

CH products (no assembly video but watch the Saitek ones for the general idea)

That’s a good idea. I thought about buying some off an electronics site but wasn’t sure how the interface them with the pc etc. That and the 500 minimum order :)

Just placed the order.
NZ$35. Half the cost is postage. Really easy transaction if you have paypal.
Norman 3D prints these and at no profit. He just wants to help out the Flt sim community.
If anybody wants a set let me know.
