I would love to come down for this but I am shortly to be undergoing training that will probably count me out.

A further update from Dave,

I thought I'd better actually make up a programme schedule, although I cannot guarantee this will not change on the day:

10.30 hrs - Arrival, mix and mingle and welcome, short talk from Dave Homewood
11.00 hrs - Denys Jones - the Ferrymead Hudson restoration
11.30 hrs - Derrick Hubbard - RAF and RNZAF veteran
12.00 hrs - 1950's and 1960's aviation film footage
12.30 hrs - Ross Brodie - a very young but experienced pilot
13.00 hrs - Lunch Break
14.00 hrs - Matt Hayes - The search for the missing Corsair
14.30 hrs - Don Simms - Skyhawks
15.00 hrs - tba

Is there anyone else who is coming that wishes to give a talk on a topic or about an aircraft project, etc? If there is, send me a PM and I'll see if I think the topic is suitable. It looks like we should have some time for another speaker even if we get a replacement from the museum to step in from Michelle (not yet confirmed).

Well I figured since I now this Wicked Authentic WWII B-17 Bomber jacket ... and weather look to be on the cool side, I think I maybe going in as a COOL WWII officer ... Just this Sunday, spent the last 20 minutes polishing my boots , still have a good pair of trou that looks the part and an authentic Military belt from the period , I may need to go shopping for a white dress shirt , just to break the contrast (Bloody hospital cut my last two into shreads after the two visits) , one was brand new ... Oh well ...

Think I go in with my typical trademark "USS ENTERPRISE" cap on CVN-65 (N for no funnel) ;) Marty, it is not a dress-up , but I figured 'What the Hell!' , if it dose return to warm temps ... maybe just a white tee-shirt with color, wonder how it would look with my Sunny's and jacket :D

Its not a Fancy Dress, but I figured make an entrance rather my norm ..... I almost need a backpack to look like a parachute .... that would be COOL! .
