On the Milviz website the Hughes/MD530F is out.

I don't have it yet but I am pretty sure there could be a New Zealand paint inclured with the release as there was one on the previews forum.

Spoilt for choice with the release of Nemeth's BK117 and both very appropriate for New Zealand

More the 500 fan but the BK117 is always over my place with a skier or road accident heading to hospital.

The repaint that comes with the 530 is Helisika's ZK-HIP which is actually a FF not an F but why let accuracy get in the way. Is it just me or is the pilot a 5ft midget? That BK will be one to watch for sure.

laugh.gif .... I nudge up against the cockpit of a 500F - not the sort off thing you can go running around the cockpit in , with your cockpit build and course Nick flying and lives in the things, between the both off you, you will get spacial perspective and a true size, Ive seen screens from a whiles back but did not look at it that way.

FSX Milviz MD 530 Upgrade. This package includes an updated .air file with much more realistic flight dynamics, a new aircraft.cfg with many new and enhanced views in the external mode, new cockpit views, realistic sounds recorded from an actual MD530-F model, and an almost silent warning horn sound to replace the loud and annoying stock sound inside the cockpit. Also there is an entry in this aircraft.cfg to include the Texture.RPK paint scheme not available in the original aircraft.cfg. The textures are present in the original aircraft folder inside FSX but no entry was made in the aircraft.cfg file to fly with it. By Jerrod Corey.

Well good on both companies for stepping up to the plate and getting the bugs sorted.

I'm not entirely sure if the person that uploaded these adjustments is associated with either Milviz or Nemeth. I suspect at least in Nemeth's case that it's a third-party mod, and this is judging by the continued silence of Nemeth's single support person to any and all inquiries based on what I am seeing on their forum.
Still...sounds like some nice adjustments.

Could be wrong, but I just don't recognize the name being associated with either.

The file size alone twanged me, I don't have the choppers , is it above board ?

Looks like in the BK's case it's just an air and aircraft.cfg file update, but I don't have the helicopters either so not sure on details beyond that.
I did see a "first impressions" video that indicated to me that Nemeth's BK-117 HSI still acts like a wet compass, which is incorrect and shows that they really only implement changes if it renders the aircraft unflyable, and when enough people complain (which namely constituted itself in the A109).
Let's see if Nemeth support responds to existing customers over the next few days with anything other than "no idea", "maybe it's your joystick", or "we totally promise that we'll maybe fix it eventually but probably not", or if they will continue on the path of no support, as they seem to be doing right now.

I can fix the HSI issue, and fidget with some minor things, but anything more than that is yet again unacceptable.

Nemeth have put out an update for the winch. Maybe that indicates something to come...but I'm not holding my breath

Startup will get there....trying to fix the bugs in FSX's turboshaft model is proving to be a pain.
