The fifth major scenery release which was promised in 2006 was delayed because of this, but development is well and truly underway now.

The next 'Real New Zealand' release will be Marlborough, which will include:

Photoreal scenery of much of the Marlborough Sounds and Blenheim;
Accurately modelled Omaka Airfield, Blenheim Airport (Woodbourne), Picton Airfield;
...some other interesting scenery elements:)

For Blenheim Airport, the emphasis will be more towards the regional airport aspect, rather than the Airforce Base, mainly because the reaction to my approaches to the Airforce can best be described as 'brusque'. However Woodbourne base will as accurately modelled based on the resources I have available.

My original intention to include Hamilton Airport is not possible, in part because of the size of the current scenery in development (fitting it on a CD will be tricky) but also because the final Marlborough scenery will certainly be a full and complete experience in itself.

After Marlborough, I hope to be able to complete Auckland International Airport for both FS2004 and FSX. Just a reminder that Real NZ subscribers will receive Auckland International at no charge, even though the subscription will be completed by then. (the subscription finishes with the release of the fifth CD, and subscription sales will certainly finish before then.)

Other projects for the year are under wraps at the moment.

:groupwave: Woohoo! Best news I have heard in ages! Count me in as a definate buyer Robin :D

Yep saw it on the site earlier. It should be a goodie. I can't wait.

Low level cruising around the sounds will be awesome. Jons right it will blend to Wgtn nicely.

well after a relatively quiet Xmas/New Years period credit card wise... and based on the wonder that is RealNZ Wellington, I've just visited windowlight and coughed up for my subscription.

Not entirely sure it was a smart move timing wise... given that I am heading off overseas for 4 weeks this fri/sat and will probably not get to play with any of them... but it gives me something to look forward too I guess :)

now i just hope that the NZAR that trolley spotted a while back sees the light of day soon :thumbup:
