Charl, I know Nelson Airport has a couple of squirrels in the livery you pictured (or one like it), so does your package show multiple squirrels at the airports or just one at each?

Also, is it FSX-compatible?

There is a squirrel based at each yellow dot on the map.
In the Cook Strait/Sounds area, the 3 buzz around and will sometimes be seen together at Nelson.
This was where the germ of an idea was born:

I'm told AI works fine in FSX.
Be interested to hear your experience!

Hey Charl, what is the minimum % traffic you need in FSX for this to show up? Also, I'm guessing it's under GA instead of airline traffic?

Hey thanks guys this one was a long time coming.
I didn't do a readme because no-one does erm, readme, so I thought I'd pick up in the forum and do screenshots as we go. (I've played with these a LOT).
minimum % traffic

First one comes in at 10% last one at 30%
under GA

Probably but you'd know best! (I don't run FSX!)
what AS350 model do I need

As Mbdg said it's included. It's based on the Nemeth model and so is very good.
I don't notice a frames hit but would be interested to hear what it does for you.
How'd you get Nelson looking that good

That's Ian Warren's scenery and RW weather
Will this add traffic to Mechanics Bay

Yup: (Just the blue one for now, the other's a chase plane)

I just had a quick flight Charl, it is very good. Those squirrels moved way faster than my Jetranger!

Yeah they accelerate too quickly but if you catch them in the cruise it's only 120 kts. I found my Porter to be the best chase plane.

Choice thanks for the answer Charl.

I notice the Auckland Squirrel visits Waiheke Island, and in the summer time I often hear choppers announcing they are landing at the "Waiheke Heliport" on the Auckland traffic MBZ when listing on my scanner.

Where exactly is this located? Is it the same place as Reeve airdrome?

Heliport does have a grandiose ring to it doesn't it?
All you need is a ticket office and a mobile phone really.
I think there is a "heliport" at Reeve but I've seen rotorwings land all over Waiheke.

Volcanic Air heliport sticks out of the jetty!

Thanks Brock, I assume you have no problems in FSX? That would be good news indeed. Did you point it at the FS9 installation or do one in FSX?

Meantime, here's the second-last page of the Don'treadme:

Hello

First let me say that the 10 Squirrels package is great. I do most of my sim flying out of wellington and the AI packages certainly spices things up.

I found a small problem with using the NZQW afcad that came with the 10 Squirrels package together with the Godzone RealWelllington scenery.

The NZQW elevation cause the water level to raise above the wharf that Robin so painstakingly rendered. I create a flatten switch to sweep the water off, but the gas station and parked cars nearby are still floating on air. Also, when I close FS9 when I'm in Wellington, FS9 crashes with a GPF

This is not a major issue, and certainly not a show stopper, just thought you may want to know.

here is a screenshot of the wharf before flatting the water down :)
