Looks like CS are gonna beat PMDG to the market with their 777, nice video on their product page of the external model which you can order now, details look amazing:

Exterior model means there is no VC, right?

No panel at all I would say, and possibly no sound, exterior only. Apparently if you buy the exterior they discount the price of the full model when its released

Very nice looking - interesting it flies a nose-down approach in the clip.
I thought this was a POSKY foible, but come to think of it, I've never watched a 777 land, so maybe this is how it's done?

Wonder if they've left out a single hatch that can open...emergency slides! next will be animated passengers, complete with gripes about poor liquor service.
Minus one mark for your VA if a passenger found the landing uncomfortable, perhaps.

Capsim presumably will position their panels somewhere between POSKY and PMDG - will have to be gorgeous to beat POSKY's look.

Looks promising! Cheesy muzak on that video though laugh.gif. I wonder how the *systems* will compare between these two versions when released. My current aircraft on VANZ is the 777 and I'll be spending 300 hours in it till I get a crack at a 747. I have the Wilco one at the moment, but I'm not overly impressed with it.

Come on Eddy admit it, if you're like a lot of 777 fans who've been waiting so long for an FSX model, you'll probably shell out for both laugh.gif

aww, its only a -200 model. I hope when/if PMDG do theirs it is a -300er. Theres nothing better than boasting rights for having the biggest engines!

Im sure its going to be good but Im not quite sure releasing a half done plane is the best idea for their image of producing high quality addons

Actually if you look at the site they are also rolling out a 300 and a freighter so its not only the 200 model. No doubt each of them will be extra $$$ on top of the base 200 model, as is the CS way.

Well ... call me a sucker ... call me a CS Fanboi ... but don't call me Shirley! laugh.gif

The exterior model really is superb ... but they've aliased the panel to the default FS B747 ... UGH!!! A few old CS customers are saying that they could at least have given an option to alias with the CS 767. I tried aliasing it to various panels, but some weird protection thing kicks in and you getting missing wheels etc.

I suppose in the end, it will boil down to who models the *systems* the best ... PMDG or CS ... and I think I know the answer to that one, so I'm not entirely sure why I grabbed this winkyy.gif

Possibly because you know how long it takes PMDG to get that accuracy - you might not fly the CS model once PMDG release theirs but by then your CS model will be just about due to be sold off to an African airline tongue.gif

(and whoa that is one good looking plane !)

Maybe I'm just not up with the ball game, but I didn't have any idea that Captain Sim were developing a triple seven. I am quite suprised! ohmy.gif

Are there any other aircraft known to be in development with them?

At $18.15NZ its in anyone,s price range , it only comes at the moment the external model with a 747 default cockpit - next best thing to do is transfer a Capt Sim 767 or 75 into it COOL cool.gif

Won't work. People on the CS forums have tried aliasing other panels to it with little success. Various levels of copy protection appear to kick in - at least with other *commercial* add-ons. A freeware panel of some sort my work though.
