Captains!

Okay- this is going to be "announcement week" here in the PMDG forum!

Lets start out with something small... Or...actually...something BIG!

We have just pushed the final beta of the PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter out to the beta team. We anticipate that this product will be available to you within 24-48hrs!

This product is a bit different than many of the others we've released- as it came about thanks to the kindness of our friends at Boeing, who provided us with a bunch of engineering information on the physical design of the aeroplane.

Never ones to miss a challenge, we decided it would be fun to put this aeroplane, along with some of its functionality into FSX!

With the PMDG 747-400 LCF, you will not only be able to fly around in the largest volume cargo aircraft in the sky- you'll be able to load and unload some of the very valuable loads that provide this aeroplane with employment!

Whether you pick up fuselage sections, wings, tail components, or just fly the aeroplane empty- the PMDG 747-400LCF will give you a completely new arena of missions and opportunities for your 747-400 flying!

The LCF is a product extension to the 747-400, and does not update any of the functionality of the aircraft, but adds the fully animated 747-400LCF into your flightsim environment for you to enjoy!

The product page is available here: http://www.precisionmanuals.com/pages/product/74l.html

We'll have a big announcement about a smaller aeroplane a bit later in the week....

Stay tuned!

Captains!

On Monday, I told you we would be releasing the PMDG 747-400 Large Cargo Freighter within 24-48hrs.

True to form, no sooner had I told you this, our IT manager advised me that our distribution server has to come offline for maintenance for a few hours "ASAP."

We thought he was going to do the work today, but some other priorities took hold, so the work will now be done Thursday morning instead. (Ever noticed that the IT guys definition of ASAP varies depending upon...erm... nevermind...)

Hop into the DeLorean, go back to Monday, take my announcement, and move it to Wednesday... Then we'll be all good!

(It scares me to think how many of you won't understand the DeLorean reference... <shudder>)

Okay- we have a series of things about which we will get you up to speed during the day on Thursday and Friday!

I was going to start that rollout tonight, but it needs to wait until we can roll a few things out tomorrow...

To help with the speculation, we'll obviously have the LCF rollout... and we are going to give you a bunch of information on what you can expect in the upcoming NGX!

Maybe we might even throw up a few screenies... Depends on our mood.

Okay- sorry to lead you on for another night- we'll see you tomorrow!

The LCF ? You're on your own with that one Ian, I don't have the 747 for FSX. I don't care about the LCF, I'm waiting to see what the other announcement is all about smile.gif

One NZ connection to the 747LCF is that a Kiwi is one (or at least was) of the pilots of a 747LCF

Wierdest 74 varient I ever seen, but it's great to see someone actually modelled something original instead of rehashing something thats been done 20 times. Looks fantastic, can't wait to play with it. Anyone feeling and old Air NZ Cargo paint on it? clapping.gif

'Weirdest' ? Here's a quote from Mr Randazzo about his newest baby "Our favorite part of this product is not the immense ugliness of the aeroplane ..." tongue.gif

Youi can have this one Ian, I'm hanging out for the 737. And in the meantime I still have a 727 and a C130 that I have hardly touched, and my tour group is still soaking up the rays on the way to Fiji ... plenty to keep me going smile.gif

Really looking forward to the Dash-8! Hopefully it is either the Q100 or Q300 model. Preferably the 100...
This and VLC are my top "must buys" right now.
