Thanks

Sweeet! About time someone put some serious work into silent flight
I'll let you know how that Discus compares to the real thing, hopefully by the end of the coming weekend.

Looking forward to your views Steve...I like the look of the pop up motor and a few other features. A kiwi repaint would be cool too.
You should try the Pirat as well its very nice and the price is right!

No worries
I agree, about the T/M variants... Hopefully they've modeled it correctly in terms of flight dynamics.
I can never remember which way around it is, but the "Turbo" and "Motor" variants differ in that one is capable of self launching from the ground, while the other is only a sustainer - suitable for keeping you aloft should the lift decay.
As for the Pirat, that is on my list as well... always liked PZL/SZD's gliders - immensely strong, good control harmony (generally heavy on the ailerons, stable yet sensitive to pitch inputs)
Thats based on my real-world experience as well as in various flight sims.

BM is self launch, BT is sustainer engine.
Beware if you have Vista 64 bit - there MAY be CTDs - check with the Aerosoft forums site before.
I was on the Beta for months and I love this glider. The developer is a Discus pilot and there were Dicii Pilii on the team. Sound is good - you could even say it has "Accusim-like" performance, except that would be plagiarising A2A's IP.
Sadly that is the issue - A2A's Piper or the Aerosoft Glider - what to fly????
