Cresco Released

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Postby deaneb » Thu Dec 23, 2010 12:38 pm

As promised I have now finished the Cresco (FSX only). Please use this link to download:

Link now removed (final package will be available soon)

This package is a pre-release which has not been uploaded to any other site as yet and is only available here. I have checked everything many times, but I'd appreciate any feedback on issues and bugs, which will enable me to correct before final release.

Enjoy and a Merry Christmas to all

Deane

VERY impressive! The detail in the model+paint is just *incredible*. notworthy.gif notworthy.gif notworthy.gif

There was a rumour of a "rave" somewhere around Whitianga, so MAF thought they'd better douse the revellers for head lice, crabs ... you name it laugh.gif ... here's the happy pilot just finishing his "dump" (!!).

That's the good news! Now for a tiny bit of bad <?> news:

On my FSX+DX10 preview, I get this "interference" with the prop texture. Haven't tried restarting FSX in non-DX10 mode yet, but will report back.

What a great little plane ... many, many thanks! New_Zealand_etc.gif clapping.gif thumbup1.gif

Thats something I can't do anything about as I don't have DX10. My only sugestion is to replace the prop texture with one that does work for you, like the one from the default Cessna Caravan. As long as you make the filename is the same it should be fine.

Sorry Ian, a bit busy at the moment and not sure my old computer will handle multi player very well? But keen to try at some stage.

No - I have not had time to make a paint kit yet. I also want to produce the dual control models which will include the paint for Farmers Air, Taumarunui Aerial Co-op and Griffin Ag Air.
What scheme are you wanting?

Thanks Deane. I restarted in regular FSX and it was fine, so it's definitely the DX10 "preview" mode that's doing it.

UPDATE: I tried DX10 again, and it was OK (go figure??). The culprit may have been my "Add-on Converter" that appears to convert new aircraft by default. Un-ticking the Cresco then restarting FSX seems to have cleared it.

So ... enjoying it in all its glory now!!! biggrin.gif
