Open beta SP1 for P3D2.3 ONLY and open beta SP1 for FSX.

I think I'll wait for the RTM version of SP1 for FSX though.

As someone who recently purchased ASNext, I appreciate the heads up on the beta SP.
The improvement list sounds great, and I've already been enjoying the program quite a lot over the last couple of days.

Hi,
I am a Beta tester for ASN. We have been battling to achieve a much better depiction for countries like NZ. I think the latest SP1 which is about to be released is a huge improvement. They have used a grid system to achieve much better coverage in areas like NZ.
Have a try using the test before you buy offer. Remember you can ask for the test license to be refreshed for a retry.

How many source (stations) are available for NZ weather? Is it just AA, WN and CH?

Good news Dave, NZ certainly needed better coverage. Any way that it will depict NW rain on the coast with hot dry on the east? Is it worth a simple ASN user like me downloading the beta version or just hang out until rtm version?

Hi,
There are was only 3 reporting stations HiFi could access because of Metservices tight policies. This made it very difficult to successfully generate accurate weather away from these centers. The new system uses a different source and method so give it a go. So far it seems a huge improvement. The SP1 open Beta seems to be reliable so go for it.

That still is the biggest problem with the only three point with weather reads, trouble with a skinny country and with only 100 mile distance yet the weather here is so dramatically different from the West Coast to Christchurch, course the famed NW winds and sky effects are missed.
