SimPit technologies release Digital Air Simulation

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Hi Guys,

I've been very quiet for past two years. However now is time to announce the motueka's best kept secret. Next to repco in Mot are now two titans U-HD ( one already operational the other one almost finished) and anybody who makes an appointment can come and fly for FREE (this will be for limited time so if you'll be thinking about it better come sooner than later :-).

The simulators got complete overhaul:

- new UHD screen (single screen, sharper image, better contrast and colors)
- new acceleration and G cueing system (better feel and flight fidelity)
- better projectors (6x full HD with 10 000:1 contrast ratio)
- new PC (5GHz, 32GB RAM 2400, 12GB Video RAM capable of processing up to 1 000GB of textures per second)
- and quite a few other new surprises. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ob5JUShUPmQ

The L39 dose look the part , but your missing one important feature in your Tiger ... you need a fan in front to hair dry or blow the hair .. then that will be real cool.gif

I'd be very interested to come and have a look. I'm actually more interested in getting a look at your local graphics and how you've got it all set up, so I could just observe whilst someone else is flying.
Maybe you could PM me your phone # so I could arrange a time.

Cheers

Hi Guys :-)

Ian Warren >> That's idea I'm pondering about for a while - I have there some very old school airplanes as well and the fans are not that difficult to add ;-)

richbarry >> contact details are on the way.

scaber >> Will be looking forward to catch up smile.gif. I'm curious if you'll notice any improvements ;-)

Not sure if you are aware off - i developed new projection screen material for DIY cylindrical displays and I have pretty good deal with BenQ for their projectors as well.

that's the material setup at home as a cinema (in daylight with all curtains off) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=auR-YSTDAso
and that's the first light on sim https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbeZuXSWwEg

Add an open bottle of kerosene to give a bit of atmosphere!!

Possibly not though as it could be considered a fire risk!!

Not such a silly idea , lightly soak rag in a sealed tray .. have it vented properly .. my experience in the Stearman you could not smell much other than excitement ohmy.gif

I thought about the kerosene but I might have to find suitable substitute. the fuel has two major disadvantages - it is carcinogenics and the other problem is that the vapor would damage the display (in matter of months) - the second problem is a real issue.

I would like to rework the hybrid cockpit to blend better (hardware and image) and add removable front LCD/OLED panel for instruments for the air combat simulation and if there will be more flying in open cockpit planes I'll add the fans (already got it in a shop so today I'll do some testing)

ardypilot - Thanks - I can run there fsx, p3dv2.2, dcs world and outera - the UHD version is noticeably clearer - not full 20/20 vision yet but very close now (but I'm working on it;-) ).

I have to edit the fella out :-). otherwise it could perhaps pass for real flight footage

I don't know why, but 'caption polygon' works for me -- maybe because he makes the rest of it look a bit more real in comparison.

I do like the Nemeth 500, tho not installed for a good couple/three/four years, Hmm that pilot can really look out place but all and all the affect is really impressive !
