Went & downloaded TaupoX yesterday, installed OK, sweet! So I trundled out the ol DH82 Tiger and took my friend Bob from ORBX for a ride. We approached the airfield and did a low level circuit just to check out the scenery, it sure looks nice from the air plane.gif As I touched down on the grass at runway 11, I thought I saw a cow on the airport side of the fence, so we taxied over for a closer look & sure enuff there was a mooloo just inside the perimeter fence near the windsock. So I called the control tower to report the matter. They told me not to worry as they had been watching said cow and it didn't seem to be MOOving....in fact it hadn't MOOved for days!! unsure.gif So we gave up, & moseyed over to the terminal so we could go inside to look around, Bob was very impressed! and said it looked very authentic.(Not a bad compliment from an Aussie!) The only other person in there was the lady behind the counter at the cafe, but she must have been having a bad day cos. she wouldn't serve us sad.gif So we went over to the tower, had a bit of trouble getting up there, but when we did there was nobody home! (must have been out chasing stray cows!) Never mind, the view was just great! biggrin.gif Anyway, enough of the BS!! I just wanted to say a big THANKYOU to all the clever guys who design scenery and aircraft to feed those of us with an addiction to flight sims. Without you the world of FSX would be a pretty dull place sleep1.gif So cheers to you all cheers1.gif
PS....did someone mention AucklandX ? thumbup1.gif

Thank you guys had a good laugh ,sorry about the cow and the tower being empty though correct me if im wrong the tower in realworld is unstaffed or they are always on a coffee break ,making up for the lack of rotor spots you will love to see my little added fun coming soon to the area, little extra tourist stuff which will have the float base and whatever else i get carried away with making while i have some spare time .

still in wip

Yeah there will be just building them now ,will be just a free download when ready and will run separate to TaupoX and be best used of course with VLC and its 20meter mesh which is a good platform to build off , i was just able to find Huka falls by eyesight then follow the road up to helistar where you see ive just started the build .

Certainly is! Don't forget the excellent freeware Whakatane is in that mix as well.
You could also include "Snowman's" Napier/Hawke's Bay at this point!
(And if you throw in New Plymouth, you have a very well equipped Central North/Waikato/Bay of Plenty flying circuit and region in FSX.)
