In-Flight Entertainment

Read and report on flightsim developers progress of upcoming or completed products

Here's one of those projects that begin with a 'what if..'.

It's only a 'baby' at the moment, but it's up for testing and comment.

Ideally, I'd like to place this in a window of its own, rather than be placed inside the Kneeboard.

It's for broadband only...the file you need is:
In-Flight Demo

Luvly, Goff!
Although it eats my screen from the top of the kneeboard to the bottom for some reason, blacking out everything else.
No matter, I shove it over on the 2nd monitor and watch the entire Panam ad.
A Must-See! No vibration! A lounge (on a 707!!) Stewardess lights his smoke!
Wait a minute! (Scoots off to check inferior services and fittings on newest Boeing offering)
Edit: Yup, as I thought - 787 no smoking allowed

Be great to have this in a window, 1st class seat in Capsim 757 has a TV monitor just made for this B-)

What do you get to do in this?

Isn't it evident?? Boeing are my favourite aircraft.

P.S. that's is my real birthday but I wish to keep my real age secret to keep you all pondering.

For FS2004 - don't know if it works on FSX.

Thanks, Charl. I forgot, (old age), to include a replacement kneeboard image - could this be why you're having probs?

The replacement image is at:
http://www.volunteerhb.orcon.net.nz/dow ... _image.zip

This bmp goes into the 'Uires' folder of fs9.

Yeah...I'd really like to make an independant widow. Well..I can do this, but as soon as you click on the main screen, the new window will lose focus. I'd like to make it part of a panel...but then I'm getting into the realms of guage-making, aren't I?

Future thoughts...music for pre-takeoff..cabin announcements...the sky's the limit.

Oh...and a selection of entertainment 'packages' to choose from to suit your flight, (you know...like they do on the internatiuonal routes, where they have 'programme 1' from NZ to LA and 'programme 2' from LA to NZ).

Hey...Avisim could have a new section...in-flight 'trailers' and 'announcements'...nah...I'm getting into the realms of fantasy, now.

Cheers,

Goff

What about something that runs out side of FS and connects through FSUIPC

Hmmm...like a module sort of thing. That's a bit beyond me. Might search for some info on how to do this.

Looks very cool Geoff, a lot more advanced than the simple NZFF kneeboard browser that I created a while back!

I'll try out Trolly's one, then see if I can combine.

I've been up to wee hours of the morning trying to make a pop-up attach to cockpit panel...but this gets too deep for me, (xmls and all dat stuff).

So for now, the Kneeboard is my only option. I'll just develop this concept a little more further. The beauty of it is that once you have the kneeboard file, you don't need to update it; i.e. I do it all from my end.

I've searched various forums and tuorials, but they all point to complicated stuff.
