In the ongoing battle between objects made of aluminum going hundreds of miles per hour and the ground going zero miles per hour, the ground has yet to lose.

Its up on Avsim now....it would have been last night but i forgot to add my email address in the Readme (and for some reason they wouldnt just accept a new readme...i had to upload the whole thing again...what a crock)

Anyway- Download it and let me know what you think

Well the website you reference was offline,so I don't know if I found the right island here, it's pretty much north out of Tauranga, and looks pretty good too B)

I didn't go there "before" so I don't know how much credit you take for the water and coast effects, which I thought quite special

Yep thats the one:)
The coast/wave effects are due to the gradual blending of the photo away to nothing (i.e. there are waves on the photo which you can see in your screen shot near the coast)

Very skilfully done  looks really great in the sim when you're flying and there is movement and reflection.

I know what I'm doing as soon as I get home Sunday night

Youve got to love the way you can merge hi-rez textures into standard textures in FSX, I have seen this done on a few things now, makes such a big difference when transitioning from add-on to default scenery areas.
