The reason for this thread ...if I may.

First of all thanks to Doug for allowing me to try this (a new thread) The idea came when I found that the Air Force archive site, and thought it might be interesting for others.
Last night I asked Doug if maybe I could extend it to Air Force and NZ general aviation. The logic was, with so many aviation orientated members ...Pilots, engineers, etc there must be some stories out there.... and photos.
I don't want to limit it to just Pilots ....anybody with some form of history with NZ aviation ...if not your own, then family or friends ...aircrew, ground crew, ....I really think we could build a really interesting archive/ data base .

Anyway ...just a thought. It may not be on everybody's radar, but I thought I would give it a go.

Thanks again to Doug for setting it up, and also to DeaneB for his support.

Cheers chaps.

Great idea, Marty
The membership here represents a huge memory bank of personal experience and other memories and it should be collected before we get too much older. Even overheard comments, gossip, and rumours from a particular period can throw up clues to why this happened, instead of that.

New Zealand Flight Sim Forum so lets just keep it as RNZAF and NZ aviation history.
