I recently purchased some Logitech X-530 5.1 channel speakers,
which work great!

And I believe FSX is meant to support surround sound, but whatever I try, I can only get sound in the front two speakers, I have turned on speaker fill in my sound options, which just emulates the 5.1, but I just cant get true 5.1 to work!

has anyone else got this working?

I don't think FSX support surround sound. I've gone back to a 2 speaker system to save some space..

Hmm, I have 7.1 Onboard, its pretty decent, It has a emulated surround sound feature, which is similar to what you're talking about, I belive.
That works well,
But I checked on google, and from what I read, FSX does support 5.1 :S its really weird.

Oh well, thanks for your help.

I vaguely remember that the marketing hype did say 5.1 support, but to me it always sounded like the pseudo 5,1 that only uses 2 channels. I even think the sound files of the airplanes are in stereo which doesn't make sense if FSX would be a true 5.1 system. I never could get FSX sound like true 5.1 games (although the engine sounds good through the subwoofer).
