Desk Computer Part 2

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby Kahu » Mon Feb 02, 2009 8:23 pm

A project I started last July Thread Link I have been tweaking to finally come up with this, a computer in a desk;
Sanded back desk,oiled and replaced with new brass fittings and fitted with parts which I was able to get from a NZ site called Modster PC

Desk Closed Up

Computer In Top Draw

Just open draw and insert new hardware.

Desk Opened Up Ready For Flight Sim

x3 fans, 1 on hard drives, graphics card and CPU

On/Reset Buttons and "cool-panel" which monitors temperatures,fans and multi input slots like usb,photo cards etc

Cupboard containing external DVD writer and sub

Close up of fan in a brass style to match mahogany desk brass fittings.

All fans have dust filters on back which I have found to be very effective.

Excuse the basic question but where are the CD/DVD drives? Looks cool. The only issue I can see is that your fan control and temp monitoring is obscured by the drop down cupboard door. Other than that I love it.

Remember the 50-50-90 rule. Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong!
