Can anyone recommend a good laptop for flight simming? It would most likely be for FS9 but I would probably put FSX on later.

Yes and sure could! My laptop is a little long in the tooth now. Thought that I would upgrade. What better time to flight sim when stuck in a hotel room.

a laptop shouldnt be any problem. Be expecting to dig deep in the old pockets though.
