Bought the FlyTampa St Marteen scenery a while ago and decided I'd pay a visit this evening. I have installed all the appropriate airline packages from WOAI. Strange thing is no AI is showing. But is working at other airports

Just wondering if there is something I need to do to activate AI aircraft at the FlyTampa airports?

I'd love to be able to see the AI aircraft executing the approach at TNCM.

Sounds like duplicate AFCADs.
Do a search in your flightsim folder for older ones and remove.

One of the problems I saw posted with Ultimate Traffic was to do with the setting: "Aircraft cast shadows on the Ground". Apparently, this was kicking out the AI 3D models (though lights still showed) on certain airports (Heathrow being one of them). Could something similar be happening in WOAI?

When you go to "Create new [outside] view" do any of the AI aircraft get listed? Also, I know that sometimes (in UT at least) it takes a little time for the AI to generate/propagate - yet at other times it's instant.

Try turning down all your GFX settings right down for a while ... it may be a memory problem <??>. I found sometimes re-generating the scenery database by shifting the order of something was enough to bring them back. All this in UT/FSX, remember ... so your mileage may vary!

Sorry I can't be of any help, as I don't have FSX and havn't had this problem (all I can suggest is raising the percentage of AI traffic visable in your settings window), but it is so worth it when you get it working!

Thanks for the ideas guys. Will try all of these and hopefully sort it out.

Adamski, There are only 3 AI aircraft showing when I go to create new outside view. None of them are at this airport though.

Trolly, I run with AI on 100% all the time. I don't think I could live without realistic AI in the skies.

Have just been reading the FlyTampa forums and it seems the aircraft shadows is the leading cause of no AI traffic. This problem only occurred after SP2 and Acceleration apparently. Also read that WOAI traffic is busiest at 1330 and 1530hrs or on Sundays at 1815 GMT

Only saw an American Airlines 757 takeoff. Weird thing was it was holding and I was already on the runway. It requested permission to take off and was told to hold due to me being on runway. I requested permission to take off and was told to hold and wait for the 757... I decided to pull off the runway and shoot down the other end to watch the 757 take off. There were a few more aircraft sitting at the gates. clapping.gif
