Hi guys,

I absolutely love FS9 but lately i have not been able to use it as i had it installed on the family's computer. I really want to play it again but cannot afford to buy a new comptuer as i have recently purchased a PS3. But i have had an idea, so please tell me if this would work or not.

- Plug my 2gig memory stick into the computer > Download FS9 and its addons on to the memory stick > plug the memory stick into my PS3 and somehow put FS9 onto the PS3's hard drive > Plug the PS3 into the computer and play FS9. Now it will not take up memory on the computer and i can play with max settings.

Please tell me this can work!!! smile.gif

Thanks, SB

It is a windows program so you would need windows to run it like other base software ...

FS9 is about 11GB without addons.

I think both of you guys are a bit out. laugh.gif

My 'Flight Simulator 9' folder is just over 6.4Gb (it's a full install, not the minimal option), and that is with add-ons like Robin Corn's Rotorua and Wellington Scenery, various other freeware sceneries and afcads, payware and freeware add-on aircraft (PMDG Beeches, a couple of Carenado aircraft etc).

For a completely vanilla installation I reckon you could be looking at about 5Gb.

And yes, I think your idea of having FS on a USB drive could work, but would probably be hampered by the low read/write speed of Flash Memory. winkyy.gif

You can always just buy another HDD and put that in the PC and load it onto that.
