I have among my FS9 aircraft collection Cyril Pioffet's Rafale........only I don't like the HUD. For one, it is too dim to see in most flight situations unless you're flying at night, and secondly it is a bare bones barely readable version of Eric Marciano's HUD. I tried the HUD modification on the Mirage4FS site, but that didn't work either.

So, what I would like to do is change it to where the Rafale uses the same HUD as the Alphasim Gripen that I have......preferably in VC as well as the 2D cockpit views. Also I want to make it to where the HUD's brightness is adjustable.

Anybody know how to do this?

Thanks,

Proberly in the Cfg file of the panel would be where all this would be keeped and look out for a hud texture in there aswell ,before when i wanted to change gauges i just find the cfg of the ac and find the part about the gps etc and change it for the one in the other cfg like in the alphasim panel cfg ,if that make sence at all,,i do this all with notepad to make the changes i need ,you will see in the panel cfg VC sections and 2d sections etc
hope this helps alittle

this is the f18 cfg panel file in note pad see the hud line in 2d not sure where its at in VC but you get my drift these lines with the right numbers that place the gauge can be put in to any Aircraft cfg and show up ,i always keep the number placement of the cfg you are editing to keep placement on the panel in 2d and VC
always make a back up of the files you are editing or you are stuffed

no sure if this line "Luminous=246,115,119" is the line you are looking for but worth a try anyway could just rgb color , you should work it all out ,same thing in both sims if you wondering
