Hi all, Having been given a Saitek X52 Pro Flightstick and Throttle by a somewhat overgenerous daughter, but not having the time to set up specific profiles - does anyone know where I can download profiles for FS9 & or FSX. Tried Saitek with no luck , the previous X52 profiles - not the Pro version , don't work. The thing works OK and eventualy bit by bit I'll get it the way I want it but having a ready built profile available would be a head start. Any Help appreciated.

Lucky thing laugh.gif was it a present or something?
Not fully sure on the profiles thing. Send off an email to Saitek and they should help.

Hi, Daniel - Birthday !!! Daughter encourages me - wife says I'm too old to play with toys !!!!!!!! OK shes right - so I booked myself a few flying lessons out of Derby here in the UK - too old to play with toys so I'll play with the real thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Did find a couple of profiles which will help in the Saitek forum. However something of interest there are parts of this thing which appear not to work unless the FSX instalation is the Delux version - something to do with the SDK or bits it inserts into windows. To early to tell yet - it may just be me !

Regards Rick

Nice! biggrin.gif Have fun with your lessons.
That's a bit disappointing that parts of it don't work, but oh well.

I have a profile from FS9 that I'd be happy to send over (it's from the stock X52, but hopefully should work in the X52 Pro), but might be easier to create your own so you don't have to 'clutch' to find out what each keypress does. If you're keen just let me know and I'd be happy to email it to you. smile.gif

Thanks Alex - I've reached the conclusion that I will need to do my own - did get some X52 files but unfortunatly they dont work on the pro version - as a comment on Siatek that seems a little silly. The gear is great but the support leaves a lot to be desired. Means a couple of late nights but probably worth it in the end. Thanks for the offer though - perhaps when I've completed this I can help someone.
Regards
Rick

That is a bit of a pain, I've dealt with Saitek support a couple of times. They were a little slow (maybe 2 days before they got back to me), but they were helpful. smile.gif
