Pretty good Jas thumbup1.gif Don't like AMD myself, but horses for courses. winkyy.gif
Still a very nice system of course.
Be sure to post some pics!

The Q6600 seems to regularly fall in and out of stock. I think its because Intel might not be producing many of them now and what there is left is getting sold out. The G0 version would be near impossible to find I think, due to its excellent reputation and popularity.

Hi Jason ,
Your specs look good , my only concern would be the very low watt rating on your PSU { 430w ? } to run most of the lastest cards you need to be looking at around 550W plus ,they are power hungry .Im running a quad core 6600 overclocked { 2.4 } to 3.15 ,2Gigs of DDR800 ram ,a 8800GT graphics crad on a 550W PSU and it runs great Im not running vista { its cr@p ! } and Im not running FSX either I have tried it but it needs Vista to gain good performance as it didnt run the greatest on my set up and with the hlp of a few friends came to the conclusion Vista is the key to X I have just upgraded to the above and all of it was in stock from www.pp.co.nz .Anyway only my 2c worth hope all goes well .

Cheers

yeah it was a concern of mine too, but i have been told that a good low watt power supply from a well known manufactor will out perform a higher wattage from a chaeper company. i am going to be keeping a close eye on it and see, soo far i have not had any problems at all, and it came with the case so it cost me notheing to try it out. As far as the amd chipset goes, it was not my first choice either, but after shopping around it would appear the q6600 was not going to be instock anytime soon. again i am going to do a bit of tweaking to get the best out of the machine, but so far so good.

also i am getting 9-10fps with every (and i mean every) slider maxed out and the dx10 preview selected. so it will be intersting to see just what this beast will do with some fine tuning and a few add ons.
