Go to settings /controls in FSX if the sidewinder has rudder ,and switch to sidewinder stick and turn /delete rudder assignments off on it, as it sounds like there are two things doing the same job and it would be conflicting causing this problem maybe ??? see if it helps if not the rudder pedals or stick mite be up the snot "hardware",
also have you installed the drivers for the new stick since getting it ? or just plug and play ...

my joystick is plug & playi have found that in the calibrate test shows the joystick is working fine but i still get the same problem even when the joystick is not connected i checked the control entries and removed all rudder controls for both keyboard and joysticks and found that this only made the problem worse

hope this helps

Is there a driver disc that came with the stick ?
do you have the payware version of FSUIPC ? some of the settings in there mite be doing this if you havent set it up ...
i really dont know how that removing those rudder assignments could be making it worst this would be pointing to me at the rudder pedals and maybe you have done something to them ,are they saitek /or something else
what brand are they ?
more info more help ...

also if you dont use the pedals does everything work ok ? and i mean unplug them

i have the microsoft sidewinder precision 2 usb flight stick with a built in base twist rudder at the bottom of the stick and am using the defaults that microsoft use for the set ups of flight sim i have installed the driver cd that came bundled with the stick and also done a check with the joystick in fs2004 and found that the rudder problem didn't exist so it is only fsx that has the problem. also when testing the joystick in the control panel it works fine .

Jason , little thought .. a lot of the default settings use in FS9 are opposite in FSX , you also have to make sure you cancel the controller switch , sometimes this can double up .

Unless someone knows what is going on with your problem and can answer you out right and help you fix it you are going to have to work it out yourself ...
ive asked you
are they saitek /or something else
what brand are they ? and if you read the sentence right i was asking brand of pedals .."no answer "
also i asked you "do you have the payware version of FSUIPC ?" no answer ..
did you unplug the pedals and do the other sticks and control work ok without the pedals installed ?? had no answer again to my questions

if you supplyed me and others looking at this post we could get down to the problems alot quicker instead i feel like its ground hog day
Also craig at VWR is someone who knows alot about controls you could get in contact with him and he mite be able to help ..

to me the problem still lies in a conflict of rudders assignments seeing they both controls are using the axis ,ive had the problem before and deleting one of them solved my prob ,

also another thought before i stop typing is does the pedals "unknown brand "have drivers disc that came with them or are they racing car pedals ?
this is a trial and error type of prob something that can only really be done your end ..
