Can you make your TV another screen, by running an S-video cable from your GX card to your s-video input in your VCR which then goes to your TV?

I don't think you can but it will be sweet as if you could!

yes you can... but unless your telly has a proper VGA (or DVI) input... the resolution will most probably be pretty poor... not necessarily an issue for fullscreen games etc...

but you'll probably find that any text when in 'desktop' mode will be very hard to read... TV's just dont have the resolution that computer monitors do...

The other issue will be whether or not the GFX card is able to treat the S-Video as a 2nd monitor, or if its just a 'mirror' of what is onscreen

OK, cool. Just wanted to find out if this is possible before I rearranged the room so the cable could reach.

Thanks,

I tried that, I have a special VGA-to-TV converter. Works fine but TVs (not LCD or PLASMA) only have a 640X480 resolution so I found it pretty useless.
