Hey guys,

Im about to Partition the Hard Drive of my Laptop to run a dual boot system. Im using Partition Magic 8.0. I have already Resized my Hard Drive, to contain 2 sections. I am about to Format the last area, but Im no expert, and I dont want to screw up my Hard Drive big big time, so it corrupts everything lol. I have a screenshot of what im about to do, is this how I do what I want?

err..Formatting will erase everything so 'corrupting' your data will be the least of your worries.

(apologies, the pic you attached is blocked from this computer so I may have missed the point a bit)

Timmo,

Yeah, the picture explains the story. Its 1 drive, resized into 2 parts, I just had to format it. I decided to make some backup restore disks and do the format, and it worked out fine.

I dont reccommend that you partition your HD, the reason is that it will slow down your computer to a crawl and you wont like it at all.

Are you going to be running FS9 or FSX??

I was to be running FS9 on my XP partition, and running Mac OSX Leopard on the other.
