Alright so heres my story:
I was partitioning my 200GB hard drive to make way for Vista (which is a whole other story why I uninstalled it in the first place ;) ). This is what the partition setup would have been:
Partition 1- 25GB- Windows XP Home
Partition 2-140GB- Games and Programs
Partition 3-25GB- Windows Vista

I started up Partition Magic, and it said it needed to restart the system because some of the files which needed to be moved were in use. I thought, 'this is normal, it always does this'.
So, I turned the screen off, and went to watch Tv for a couple of hours. I came back, and saw it had booted into Windows, and there was C drive, D drive and E drive (as expected). I checked out the contents of the dirves, to make sure everything was alright. Windows XP paritition- fine. Windows Vista partition-fine. Games partition- Uh Oh.... "This drive is not formatted. Would you like to format E drive?" :o

I really dont know what happened. Of course, I didnt have anything backed up. I tried some demos of some expensive hard drive recovery programes and none of them worked. I gave up, and formatted the drive. Then I remembered that you could get the data off formatted drives! I tried it, and I had success!!

Using "Recover My Files", I managed to find 100% of the files, even after the partition was corrupted, I tried fixing the partition table (unsuccessfully), and I had re formatted the drive. Only problem is, I dont have enough room to hold all 130GB of my games and junk. So, I made the decision to buy a new hard drive in order to have somewhere to save the recovered files.

I purchased a Western Digital Carvaire SE WD200JB or something (forgot the full name), which is also a 200GB IDE 7200RPM drive. I am going to hook it up along with my Maxtor IDE 200GB IDE 7200 drive in a RAID 0 array. Throught Id try something new, as Ive never had anything to do with RAID before

So your probably thinking what is the point of this story? Well I will tell you...
I , Brownbox, managed to fix a problem successfully, without breaking something else!!

Cheers
BB

DOH!

Email from PB Technologies:
"The status on your order #112262 has changed to Awaiting Goods.

This means that one or more of the items you ordered is not in stock, and that there will be a delay.

Typically this means you won't see your goods for 3 business days(weekdays).

However in some situations it does take longer - we advise you to contact us if you want an estimated time of arrival.

We will email you again as soon as the goods have arrived and are being sent to you, or are ready for pickup."

Well, looks like Im going to be bored this weekend seeing as I cant put anything on my hard drive if Im going to set up RAID. So much for that idea...
