Just wondering but how can I convert a Microsoft Word file into a Adobe Acrobat Reader (PDF) file?

PDF Online

That's the one I use; it doesn't even add a watermark to the bottom of the page, like the majority of free PDF converters do.

If you are using Microsoft World 2007, Microsoft has made a plugin that will create a PDF automatically.

Another option is download open office, this can read the MS formats and save as a PDF. I use it quite a bit and find it rather good.

Yes, I forgot about Open Office. I use it quite a bit, and highly recommend it. In many cases it is actually better than Microsoft Word...it has never frozen on me
