If you want some ideas for building a top end system, check out this video.

Extra credit for every reason you can give as to why he's very unlikely to smash the 3DMark world record.

He forgot to put in some ram?
He built it without an antistatic strap?
lol funny ad though!

1 point for no RAM, but no points for the anti-static strap.

I've built several computers and never used an anti-static strap, never fried a component neither.

Next?

Oh but I bet you've never unpacked $2,000 worth of video card by dragging them through those little polystyrene packaging balls, either.
You know, the ones that stick to the roof, the cat etc becasue they have 10,000V static buildup :o

Nice try, but if you look closely, you'll see that the cards are actually in antistatic bags when he drags them out of the box. Also, he clearly has working video at the end of the clip. No points.

Probably the fact that although he has subzero'd the CPU, the video cards (and I would assume RAM) are not being cooled.

As such, they're likely to cr@p out and cause issues way before he starts stressing the CPU ;)

EDIT: mauahahahahaha i just realised he doesnt have any HDD's attached!! going to be hard breaking the 3dMark world record without an OS

OK, but you can of course push the processor independently of the PCIe bus (in fact it's not a good idea to push the PCIe bus at all). Actual GPU clock and video RAM overclocking is done via the nTune utility (in the case of 8800 series cards). However, without custom cooling on those cards, he is not going to be able to push them very far, and thus is likely to have his 3D score beaten by someone with water (or liquid N2) cooling on the video cards, so I'll give you a point.

Yes! no hard drives - 1 point.

Total: 2 points

Here's one from me: There's absolutely no insulation around the nitrogen slug or CPU. Within seconds, condensed water is going to be dripping all over his motherboard. Nasty. One point for me.

And he's going to power it with no power supply???

Well spotted! Another point for you.

I don't know if this really counts, but at the end when the voice over say "smashing the world 3DMark record...", he's clearly still fiddling in the BIOS (probably wondering where the hard drives are).
