Hi all.
So i brought a new PC the other day and had a nightmare with installing then reinstalling FSX. - Long story short-
Because i had nothing too much on the computer i decided to restore Windows 8.1. However during the restore there was just a blue screen. nothing else..

The computer was still on however only a blue screen on the monitor.

So i turned it off, Waited a while then turned the computer back on and now i can't get windows to boot even with the install disc,

Is there a way that i could get any kind of safe mode screen started and work from there?

Computer is on and running and is brand new however does not show anything on the monitor...

Restart the computer and when it starts press F8 or Shift + F8 a few times

I'm not sure of your technical level so let me know if you've already tried this.

Are you sure the computer is booting the windows installation disk?
Unplug the hard drive to make sure.
Can you get to your BIOS? Do you know the motherboard brand?

Very sorry but my computer knowledge is rather limited.. It was just purchased from pbtech today. When i put the windows disk in i hear the fans in the computer working as usual however nothing at all happens on the monitor. just a blue screen. I have checked my HDMI cable and it is not loose at all.

the specs for the comp are: PB 6005W Intel New Haswell i7 4790 Quad Core 3.6GHz / 8GB DDR3 Gaming RAM /128GB SSD WITH 1TB HDD /nVidia GTX 960 Gaming Graphics Card /DVDRW/ Windows 8.1 64bit /WiFi Ready

Not sure how to get to BIOS however no key inputs that i have tried have had any effect so far :(

Take it back to PB tech. If there is a fault they can fix it. If it's you fault then they will charge you but at least you will have it back up and running without any more worries about whats gone wrong and how do I fix it. If it's a new machine running windows 8.1 it probably has the UEFI secure boot system and this may be preventing you from booting from a DVD. Rather than spending a lot of time and messages back and forth it will be quicker for you to take it back to the store and doing it that way won't invalidate any warranty which will almost certainly occur if you start opening the case and disconnecting components.

Up to you of course, but that's what I would advise you to do under the circumstances.
