Flaps not extending using F7

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi wondering if anyone has this issue before.

I've been flying helos for a while now and last night went to C-27 and found the flaps didn't extend using the Saitek multi panel. So tried the default F7 with no luck to extend the flaps incrementally, and they still didn't work, yet F8 worked to fully extend, and F6 to incrementally retract. In the VC can extend flaps fine by dragging the flap handle with the mouse. Tried the C-130 same issue.

Loaded a few default AC (172 and Baron), still had the same problem after numerous reboots of Win and FSX.

The only thing I can recall that could have caused it was that I installed the Aerosoft Airbus a while ago and had that issue of the flaps not working with the multi panel and played around with FSUIPC to get the flaps to work - then went back to helos.

I've totally removed FSUIPC, checked the assignments in FSX and loaded the default controllers but F7 still doesn't work on default (or any A/C).

Any ideas as it makes landing approaches rather fast until I dump full flaps then retract to get the required setting which isn't very realistic, and a pain in the @rse?

Cheers Paul

I've played around with SPAD and found part of my issue, the extend flaps are mapped to F7, if I bypass the keyboard shortcut the flaps extend, it still doesn't explain why F7 doesn't work though...

Resolved... I mapped the extend flaps to Ctrl + V in FSX assignments and it worked fine, then reassigned it back to F7 and we are in business again, now to remap SPAD and FSUIPC....

AHHHHHHHH Perhaps I'd be better off spending my time getting my boy ready to take to the movies "Planes"

Enjoy "Planes" - I took my four year old daughter to it a couple of weeks ago, we both really enjoyed it!

Had to play around with the set-up to use the saitek multi panel with Aerosofts Airbus X which ended up having to assign a default FSX key command to the controller using SPAD.

Between Default FSX, FSUIP and SPAD all have some inputs it gets a little confusing (and really messy).

It seems every time I get an Aerosoft aircraft I have issues, it was the same with Huey, Katanna, D-27, the only ones I have not had problems with is the Wiga (perhaps because it's so basic laugh.gif ) and the original Twotter - and the new version - so far - I'm just downloading the updated ver 1.05 now so hope I haven't spoken too soon.
