Using the default Bell 206B Jetranger quite a bit.
Can someone tell me what part of the aircraft.cfg file I would change to get the 135k it is supposed to achieve.
Best I can get at level flight is 115k

135 knots indicated, from a quick look online, is likely the VNE for the 206, with some variations of the helicopter having a VNE around 120-125.
A max cruise speed of 115 knots indicated sounds perfect for this helicopter based on real world operations.

However, if you still wish to change it, that sounds like it may be an .air file edit of some sort. I can research it and get back to you if you still want a faster speed (no guarantees that it'll work, but I can take an educated guess at what to edit).

EDIT: In many aircraft, the airspeed indicator will have the capability to indicate much higher than VNE, while in normal operations, the aircraft will/should likely never get near that speed.

Thank you for the quick reply.
You sound like you know your stuff.
Where I was coming from.
I downloaded FSX_206_update from Hovercontrol.
After adding it to the default 206 it then achieved or indicated 135k
I have compared the original & the new aircraft.cfg files side by side.
Apart from some obvious differences, I can't find any speed difference figures.

Sounds like an ".air" file edit situation, which isn't exactly the easiest to work with.
Did your download accomplish your request or did you still want to see what edits need to take place?
As mentioned, I'm not 100% certain what to edit in the air file myself, so it would be trial and error, but it sounds like the file you mentioned solves your issue?
I haven't opened up the sim to see where the redline is on FSX's specific 206, but 135 kias seems fast regardless....

Yes 135k is into the red & the overspeed warning is showing.
But with the default settings I couldn't get there even going down hill.

While the update makes more speed available, it also makes it harder to control.
Which I guess, is supposed to be more realistic.

So I was wondering how to achieve one without the other.

Got it sorted.
You were correct, it was in the .air file.
Slight change to the fuselage area & drag.
Set it to achieve a max of 125k at level flight.
It redlines at 135k going downhill.
